Finally, brothers and sisters, pray for us, so that the word of the Lord may spread
rapidly and be glorified everywhere, just as it is among you.
(2 Thessalonians 3.1
NRSV)
The earlier in life we learn to think in terms of the plural pronoun "we," the better will be our adjustment to living together in society.
I am reminded of the newspaper editor who had just been informed that a storm had caused a high-tension wire to fall across the street in the middle of the business district of town. He assigned two reporters to the story. The editor sent them out, saying: "No one knows whether the wire is live or not, so I want you to cooperate--one of you touch it and the other write the story."
We also need cooperation within the Christian community in order for us to spread God's love in Jesus Christ.
God of all, help me to do my part in spreading you kingdom of love in Jesus Christ. Amen.
