Jsus answered them, "Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only
will you do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, 'Be lifted up
and thrown into the sea,' it will be done.
Most marriages start in the church, and that is where they need to stay. It has always been my
philosophy to marry anyone who requests to be married in the church weather they are active in
the church or not. My hope is that a positive wedding experience in the church will cause many
of them to come back. And some do.
I know some you are not able to share much of our church experience with your spouse. Don't
give up hope, and don't nag. But pray for your spouse, and use the opportunities God gives you
to share your spiritual life with them. And many times your actions will have to speak louder than
your words. It may be hard to see a times, but it will make a difference.
(Matthew 21.21
NRSV)
When Jesus was being tempted by Satan, Satan said he would give Jesus all the kingdoms of
the world, if he would bow down and worship him. Jesus replied, "Worship the Lord your God,
and serve him only." Our spiritual lives in connection with God is a very important part of who we
are. If our marriages are going to be truly great, we must share our spiritual lives.
Lord Jesus, strengthen me spiritually and help me to share my faith with my spouse. Amen.
