Bear fruits worthy of repentance.
C. S. Lewis once put it like this: "Christianity has no message for those who do not realize they
are sinners." That's us. We are sinners and God is righteous. If we are going to be prepared for
His coming, we better do something about our sin.

Luke tells us that John came preaching a gospel of repentance. Give it some thought. How else
would one prepare for the coming of the Son of God? The Bible tells us that God is holy, holy,
holy! When the biblical writers want to add emphasis, they use repetition. God is holy, holy, holy!
He is a God of righteousness and justice. How else could unholy people such as you and I
receive the Lord's own anointed unless we repent?
God of forgiveness, please forgive me and cleanse me from my sin. Amen.
