When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "Son, your sins are forgiven."
(Mark 2.5 NRSV)

Tokyo police recently arrested a man who was upset over being denied entrance to graduate school 14 years ago. Since that day he has averaged about 10 phone calls a night--between the hours of 8 p.m. and 2 a.m.--to the former professor whom he blames for his lost opportunity. Those 14 years of annoying phone calls totaled up to over 50,000 calls. The desire for revenge, retribution, blood can be overwhelming for some people, but not for God.

God does not keep a record of our wrongs, but God is ready to forgive us and those who hurt us. All we have to do is repent and ask for God's forgiveness and love. And God is ready and eager to give it to you.

Then our life will be filled with many blessings.

Dear God, fill my life with your many blessings of hope and forgiveness. Amen.
