May you be made strong with all the strength that comes from his glorious power,
and may you be prepared to endure everything with patience, while joyfully 12giving thanks to
the Father, who has enabled you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the light.

God wants to give us the tools, the responsibility and then get out of the way. God does not
intend to be our nurse-maid, our principal or our policeman. God seeks men and women who
are empowered as God's own children to live the Kingdom life in the very midst of sinful
humanity. These empowered men and women are the salt, light, and leaven that the world
desperately needs if it is to be redeemed. God would like you to join that elite group --the
empowered. God's invitation to each of us this day is, "Let me empower you for the year
ahead. Let me set your feet on higher ground. Let me give you what you need to be victorious
in every aspect of your life." Empowerment.
Dear God, may I be empowered by the savior in me to change my world and those around me.
