But you are not in the flesh; you are in the Spirit, since the Spirit of God dwells in
you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.
And that is what Christ's Spirit does for those who live for him today. The Holy Spirit gives us an
inner life and vitality and power that the unbeliever can't even perceive. It's like music to a
profoundly deaf person. Are you living for Christ? Does his spirit dwell within you? When a child
grows up in a home where parents are living for Christ, there is love and joy and gentleness and
hope and a positive spirit.

When you really love someone, a part of them lives in you. You see the world through their eyes.
You absorb some of their values and attitudes. Even when you are away from them, you carry a
piece of them in your heart. Your life bears the imprint of their influence. When Jesus walked the
earth, He was just one man who could only be in a limited number of places and do a limited
number of things at any one time. After his ascension, however, he had no such limitations. Now
Jesus' followers could carry Jesus with them wherever they went, even to the ends of the earth.
Dear God, may Christ's spirit bring a fullness of your positive spirit into my life today. Amen.
