"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who
believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.
As you may have already said to yourself, the necessary room is the restroom. But why do people
call it "the necessary room?" People probably call it by that name because it is necessary we visit
it
often everyday. This is a necessary part of our day. It is also essential for our health that we visit
"the necessary room."
There are also other necessary elements of our life and faith that we must follow as God's people.
What is it in the Christian faith that cannot be left behind? Just like it is essential to go to "the
necessary room" everyday, John 3:16 tells us about the essential elements of the Christian faith
that cannot be left behind.
Read it. Memorize it. Post it. It is the essential base of our Christian faith.
(John 3:16
NRSV)
Have you ever heard someone say, "I need to go to the necessary room." Throughout my life I
have heard this phrase used several times. I have always known what the necessary room was, but
I have wondered why it is called "the necessary room."
God of love, help me to accept daily the love you gave me in Jesus. Amen.
