Daily Devotions - A Few Moments With God

See, I am sending my messenger to prepare the way before me, and the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple. The messenger of the covenant in whom you delight indeed, he is coming, says the LORD of hosts.
(Malachi 3:1 NRSV)

In a PEANUTS cartoon Lucy is standing in her psychiatric booth, and Charlie Brown is sharing his problems with her. "Sometimes I ask myself questions," he begins. "Sometimes I ask myself, 'Is this your real life, or is this just a pilot film? Is my life a thirty-nine-week series or is it something special?'" In no time at all Lucy analyzes his problem and gives an instant answer: "Whatever it is, you ratings are down. Five cents, please.!"

Poor Charlie Brown. He senses that nothing much is happening in his life. Some of us may feel that way, too. We know our lives should be more vital, more productive, but somehow we cannot seem to get on track.

If we will stay closely connected to Jesus Christ, he will get us on track. It may not be in our time, but Christ will show us the way.

Dear Jesus, thank you for the wonderful guidance you have given to me. Amen.
