Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together,
running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get
back."
"Well," replied Santa, "that certainly is a tough order to fill. But why do you want two of
everything?" The little girl had obviously prepared herself for this question, because she said
without hesitation, "So I can share."
Sharing is what this Christmas season is all about. When God sent Jesus Christ into the world,
God was giving us an important gift.

I remember a story of a little girl who was taken to a shopping mall to see Santa. After waiting for
what seemed like an eternity, it was finally her turn to sit on Santa's knee. After the usual "Ho Ho
Ho's" and "what is your name" questions, the girl was asked what she wanted for Christmas. She
replied, "I would like two toy dolls, two teddy bears, two remote control barbie cars, and two
video games."
Lord Jesus, God gave you. You gave your life. Show me the joy of giving. Amen.
