When we return from the grocery store we put in the refrigerator anything that might spoil. We
do this as quickly as possible so the fresh food will stay fresh. We don't wait until the old food is
gone. We don't even wait until we have room in the refrigerator. Instead we move things around;
we even throw out the stuff which might not be good any more. The same is true with our faith.
Each day provides opportunities for growth. Each day presents opportunities for a new beginning.
God of new beginnings, help me to grow in my faith today. Amen.
