For this is the message you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one
another.
Never eat anything you can't pronounce.
Erma's advice comes from years of experience. The Apostle Paul probably encountered problems
with the food as he traveled the world during his time preaching the message of salvation.
However, Paul never let his obstacles get in the way of God's message.

NRSV)
Columnist Erma Bombeck has set up some rules for herself for eating or not eating food on her
many travels. She offers the following suggestions:
Beware of food that is described as, "Some Americans say it tastes like chicken."
If a country does not have one single head of cattle, no range and no cowboys, don't order
beef.
When they tell you how the skin of what you are eating makes wonderful shoes and handbags,
leave it.
Resist eating anything that when dropped on the floor excites a dog.
Dear God, may I not allow the obstacles of my life to get in the way of sharing your message of
love. Amen.
