A small town was offering large rewards for anyone who could catch the wolves
that were killing off all the town sheep. Two local yokels headed out into the great
wild to make themselves some money selling wolf pelts. They set up camp and
made their beds next to the fire. Things were just getting peaceful when one of them
was nudged awake. He looked up into the circle of 32 gleaming, feverish
eyes--wolves' eyes. He rolled over, grabbed his friend, and croaked, "Wake up!
Wake up! We're rich!"
Dear God, negative events and negative people can sure kill my spirit. Help me to turn ugliness
into something that will glorify you. Amen.
