Don't knock yourself out today. There is enough going on in our world to do that.

resurrection of Jesus Christ.

C. D. "Bigboy" Blalock, a boxer back in the 1930s, had the fight of his life against a
boxer from Mississippi State. Bigboy was a powerful man with a devastating
roundhouse swing. He decided to try this move, but at that very moment his
opponent stepped too close. Bigboy's arm wrapped around the man's head and
swung all the way around. He ended up hitting himself in the face instead of his
opponent. He fell back and was down for the count. He is the only boxer in the
history of that dubious sport known to have knocked himself out.
Lord Jesus, sometimes I get really down on myself. Remind me often of my goodness. Amen.
