Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like children, you will never enter
the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus changed a lot of things for the better, so we should not be afraid of change
I heard of a family who had moved from the Methodist to the Episcopal church. One of the little
girls was asked why the family had changed churches, "Mother," she said brightly, "likes the
Episcopal lethargy better."
Let's get rid of the lethargy and be transformed by the hope we have in Christ.

(Matthew 18:3
NRSV)
It was this Jesus who changed the philosophical sayings of the day to read like this: "Blessed are
you poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you that weep, for you shall laugh.
Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you and revile you, and cast out
your name as evil, on account of the son of man. Rejoice, in that day, and leap for joy, for
behold, your reward is great in Heaven."
Dear God, change me and help me to change the world into one of love. Amen.
