But I do not count my life of any value to myself, if only I may finish my course and
the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of God's grace.
I understand that there is another geyser in Yellowstone, however, that spouts water even higher
than "Old Faithful." This geyser, named "Beehive," spouts water well over 200 feet skyward. The
problem is that you never know when Beehive is going to perform. You might watch it for a long
time and nothing will happen. But with Old Faithful, you can count on it. You will see it spout its
water when it is supposed too. So, millions of people are familiar with Old Faithful and hardly
anyone knows about Beehive.
There is a rich lesson there. You will find a lot of people who are very talented, they can do lots
of things well. But you can't count on them. They tell you they will do something, but they never
do. So, even if they have the ability to be superstars, they never really accomplish much at all. It is
one of the great secrets of life to be a person that other people can count on. To be where people
expect you to be.
Be somebody who can be counted on like we have counted on Christ our savior.

Some of you may have visited Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. One of the main
attractions is "Old Faithful," a geyser that regularly spouts water approximately 160 feet into the
air. That is an amazing sight. I got to see it as a child. It was a amazing sight.
Prayer: God of what counts, push me to be one who others can count on to share your
love.
Amen.
