The pastor adds: "When you're dealing with spiritual five-year-olds, you gotta tune in on their
wave length."
Spiritual power is a by-product of of inward fellowship with God not through following
someone's example. Most of us have no spiritual power. "Blessed are the pure (literally, the
single-minded) in heart: for they shall see God." We are not single-minded, hence we do not see
God in inner fellowship and in outward power. It is not that we do not love God but that we do
not love God completely.
The New Testament doesn't call us to imitate Jesus, but to surrender to Jesus as Lord and Savior.
To imitate Jesus is to look on Him as a man--the best of men. To surrender and obey Jesus is to
look on Him as Lord and therefore Savior. "Jesus is Lord" was the earliest Christian creed, not
"Jesus is Example." He is Example, but not first and primarily. Primarily Jesus is Lord and Savior,
and then Example.

'happy note' sent home to the Almighty...or you can spend all eternity in the 'time-out' corner!"
