God put this power to work in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated
him at his right hand in the heavenly places.
(Ephesians 1:20
NRSV)
When the early Christians were thrown in jail for their beliefs, they sang hymns and gave thanks to
God. The only real prison in life is in our own minds. Regardless of our circumstances, with the
right attitude we can soar to God's heavenly kingdom.

I like the attitude of a college student down at Ft. Lauderdale, Florida who was thrown in jail with
some of his friends for being too rowdy during the Easter holidays. "I demand my constitutional
right to make one phone call," he said to the police sergeant. Fifteen minutes later a delivery boy
called at the jail. "Who ordered a combination pizza with everything?" he asked. That student
turned his jail experience into something fun.
Prayer: Dear God, help my attitude to reach your heavenly kingdom. Amen.
