We have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially
of those who believe.
(1 Timothy 4:10
NRSV)
It's just an expression, but sometimes we mean it. But you don't die. You step back for a moment
and clear your head and try to put it into perspective. Some people are defeated in life by an
attitude problem. They are finished before they ever start. They give up and snatch defeat from
the jaws of victory, just because of their mental set.
Jesus has already died for us. We have the hope of eternal salvation!
Ronald Newhouse, Texas, USA
Every once in a while I hear someone say something like, "The worse thing that could possibly
happen just happened." What happened? Did your best friend die? Did something horrible happen
to someone in your family. Did you discover that you have an inoperable tumor? What is the
worst thing that could happen to you? You hear someone say, "If that happened to me, I would
just die."
Prayer: Dear God, yes, sometimes life can be difficult, but, with Jesus in my heart, help
me to live with the hope of salvation. Amen.
