Yes, everything is for your sake, so that grace, as it extends to more and more
people, may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.
(2 Corinthians 4:15
NRSV)
Actually, baptism doesn't make our hair grow, but it does help us to experience God's grace. We
all have a need to be loved. The church proclaims that we are loved and wanted as a child of God
through baptism. And the church confirms that love through their support and encouragement.
Are you doing your part to share God's grace?
Ronald Newhouse, Texas, USA
I remember a group of fourth graders who were studying infant baptism. Their Sunday School
teacher asked, "Why do we use water in baptisms?" One youngster piped up and said, "To make
the baby's hair grow." There may be some of us here today who would like that to happen.
Prayer: God of grace, thank you for those who have shared your grace with me. May I
joyfully do my part in sharing grace. Amen.
