He said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all
your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is
like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'"
How about our neighbors? Have we loved them as we love ourselves. Now
admittedly, with all the counseling I have done, some of us need to love
ourselves a whole lot more than we do. We need to be reminded that we are
created in the image of God. We are all very important to God. And there are
some of us to love ourselves way... too much. But, if we are honest with
ourselves, we have not loved all of our neighbors. If we had, then more of
them would be in our churches. And yet, when we have love our neighbors:
great things have happened, many lives have been touched, and people have
come to know Jesus Christ as their savior.

How often do we put God first? If we are honest with ourselves, we would
have to say not very often. When we have put God first -- great things have
happened.
Prayer: Dear God, push me to be a flowing river of your love. Amen.
