Keep yourselves in the love of God; look forward to the mercy of our Lord

"Johnny," said a teacher to one of her young pupils, "do you think you could explain to the class
the difference between 'like' and 'love'?"
"Well," said Johnny, "I like my parents . . . but I love Milk Duds."
Do we have a passion for Jesus Christ like this boy had for Milk Duds?
Jesus answered him, "Those who love me will keep my word, and my Father will love them, and
we will come to them and make our home with them," (John 14:23).
Prayer: God of all, give me the passion and faith to ask you to meet my needs and to
trust that you will. Amen.
