But about that day and hour no one knows, neither the angles of heaven,
nor the Son, but only the Father.
I read once about a typo in a church bulletin. In the Christmas bulletin it said, "The
choir will sing 'I Heard the Bills on Christmas Day." We certainly we need to be
ready for pay for the expenses of this season, but, more importantly, we need to be
prepared for Jesus to come into our lives.

Matthew says to us, "But about that day and hour no one knows, neither the angles
of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." Matthew's declaration is very clear.
We need to be ready for the time when Jesus will come to take us home to God.
There will be no warning. There won't even be a reminder in the mail. Jesus doesn't
even know when our time will come, so we need to be ready.
Prayer: God of the Prince of Peace, may I be ready once again to welcome Christ into
my life during this Christmas season. Amen.
