Because we are
all human, we have all sinned. "Since all have sinned and fall short
of the glory of God, (Romans 3:23). On our own, we cannot escape being found guilty before
God. But through God's love, God provided a way of forgiveness for everyone. "For the wages of
sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord," (Romans 6:23).
The way is found in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who came to earth and accepted the
punishment for our
sins. "For our sake he made him to be sin who knew not sin, so that in him we might become the
righteousness of God," (II Corinthians 5:21).
Jesus' suffering, death, and resurrection allows us to be forgiven. And best
of all, this forgiveness through Jesus Christ is a free gift. "For God so loved the world that he
gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life,"
(John 3:16).
Read John 3:16 again by inserting your name: "For God so loved (your name) that he gave his only Son, so that (your name) who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life."
If you have never received Jesus Christ into your innermost life, to become your personal savior, he is waiting for you to ask him by prayer right now. "Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you, and your with me," (Revelation 3:20).
Dear Jesus, I invite you to come in to my life right now to be my personal savior. Please forgive me and cleanse me, so that I may be fully restored to God. Amen.
"So if
anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has
become new!," (II Corinthians 5:17).
Now, you need to get involved in a church so that you can grow in the teaching of Jesus Christ and grow in your relationship with God.
